Ernest Appiah is an internationally certified HR Practitioner with over 30 years’ experience in the HR/Administrative function. His work engagements, across varied sectors, have been with both local and multinational institutions based in Ghana.  He has extensive knowledge in recruitment, training facilitation, managing union matters, development of HR policies, as well as carrying out benchmark exercises for compensation and benefits management.

He began his career at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) dedicating the first 10 years of his working life to ensuring excellent HR practices at the University. Ernest also worked at the University of Ghana, where he rose to become Assistant Registrar prior to his move to the mining sector in 1999. The next 15 years were dedicated to AngloGold Ashanti where he held several HR roles including Compensation & Benefits Manager, Divisional Staffing Manager and Senior Human Resource Manager. He moved to USAID in 2014 and was the Supervisory Human Resource Specialist with the West Africa Mission. He is currently the Team Lead for Corporate Partners Ghana Limited.

He graduated from the University of Ghana Business School in 1987 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Administration and subsequently in 1998 with an MBA from the same institution.
